A BLESSING FROM
ABOVE
|
|
| “Mr & Mrs Gali
Ramesh Distributing Literature" |
It is not unusual
for an active InterComm-Equipped Evangelist to recommend another
such servant. This is exactly how we met Mr Gali Ramesh. Gali
had founded Grace Gospel and Rural Health Care Society in the
Andhra Pradesh State, India for the purpose of bringing
awareness to multiple health needs, such as AIDS, leprosy, TB, and
polio. More importantly, Gali planned to share the Gospel with those
who attended his clinics. He met Dr. Chiranjeevi Murari, a
fellow Christian, and more importantly for Gali, an avid AVangelist.
Dr. Murari first showed Gali his Torch Kit, then in July, 2001, and
then the doctor introduced Gali to InterComm. Our Torch Kit package
finally arrived in January 2002, and God began blessing its use
immediately in Gali’s village outreach medical awareness programs.
“Filmstrips are very good. People see the pictures start and
become very interested. Already many have chosen to make salvation
decisions.” His first Report listed 13 such commitments.
“I explain the drama stories in our Telugu language. I am very
thankful to you for giving such a poor man like me this great
opportunity to do this ministry. Recently some of my co-workers
helped me record a Telugu language drama of one of the Torch
stories.

"Some of those Responding to the Gospel
Message"
We were able
to include some musical effects, and now people really enjoy these
stories even more than before. So now we hope to also record the
others, when we can afford it. I’m also trying to visit the new
Christians once a week to encourage them. My goal is to minister in
all 45 villages in my area.”
Even though Gali is an educated man, he quite often must pursue day
labor just to feed his family. Life is often a challenge for saints
such as these, and they deserve our sincere prayer support. Quite
frequently they ask us for more helps than we can offer, and it is
discouraging when we must turn these requests down, but God does
help us do what is possible. With His help, we completed a Telugu
Language Recording Project in Gali’s State, and a package of these
video disks were sent for his ministry in June of last year. Along
with his wife, Sunelthe, they labor so that the ministry might go
forward. “The Torch Kit is a very small tool, but it is giving a
very big result to my ministry. It remains useful in all the areas
where we work. Because you gave it to us, many people are coming to
the Light of God.”
Friends like Gali
are unique servants of our Lord. Through his labors, we have seen
Reports of showings to 9,571 people with 726 salvation decisions
recorded. Concerning the Torch Kit, Gali once wrote: “We feel
it is a blessing bestowed by the almighty from above.” In our
opinion, Gali used it as such!
MR OVERHEAD SIMPLIFIES

Mr Samuel
Katabira from Kampala, Uganda writes:
“When we received your AVangelism package, we took time to
evaluate everything. We have found different Scriptures,
relating to each item that we have been viewing. We were very
impressed to see how the training tools for the Overhead
Projector were helpful. MR OVERHEAD simplifies his teaching by
not taking too long preaching, but by using displays on the
Overhead Projector. We applied this teaching, and this resulted
in 22 people coming to Christ. We developed topics such
as How to Make Disciples, Jesus Christ - Creator and Sustainer,
and Today is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life. Our
Overhead Projector is going to help us in many instances where
the program has to change, depending on where we go and what is
needed in that particular setting. Be assured that your
AVangelism is very needed in developing nations like ours. Your
training tools help us to present the Bible in a practical way,
which allows us to better articulate understanding among those
attending our programs. Have a blessed time, and thank you for
your support to this ministry.”

IT WAS LIKE
AN ANGEL
Mr Solomon Nyeduala from
Accra, Ghana writes:
“We are happy to inform you that the materials have arrived
safely, and we now have them in our possession. Really you and
your people were praying, because it seems as a divine
intervention for us to get the materials from Customs at such a
very small fee. It was like an angel standing on the officer,
who was preparing our bill so that we could leave his office.
This has never happened to us before. We praise God and pray
also that He will use these materials for His glory. We will
send you the Reports on the usage of the Torch Kit and other
materials.”
REACHING
THE MUSLIMS
Rev David
Freeman Klee from Dodowa, Ghana writes:
“Along the southern coastal belt, where most of my work has
been done, Idolatry is the order of the day. Please join us to
pray for the deliverance of those people. I desire to travel to
many far-off places where there is a much greater need of
sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, especially among the
Muslims. This is actually my burning desire to reach rural
places where modern Christians seldom go. In my recent showings,
I had an audience of around 780 people with 57 coming to Christ
through the ministry of AVangelism.”
A WONDERFUL MESSAGE
Mr Noel
Irfan from Lahore, Pakistan writes:
“The Lord encouraged me to use the Torch Kit story titled THE
TWO BROTHERS. It was greatly appreciated by the audience of 30
or more people, who were sitting together. In the city, Abdul’s
brother, Ali, takes the sins of his brother on his own
shoulders. Just the same way that the Lord Jesus Christ took our
sins upon Himself and was crucified for our sins, even though
He, Himself, had committed no sin. It was a wonderful message,
and the people really responded to it. Thank you so much and may
God bless you for making these ministry tools available.”
A PILGRIM’S PROGRESS
by Lane Anderson
That journey of a thousand miles took a 150 mile
leap by December 1960. My entire 15-year-old world was turned upside
down by something simply termed “A Fleece”. I had read the
story of Gideon and heard challenging sermons. But I never expected
my parents to invoke this ancient Biblical Media Tool. Yet, without
consulting me, they sought such an answer from God. Do we stay in
ministry with Gospel Films, which they had founded in 1950, or leave
and initiate an all new vision? Winona Lake, Indiana became the
answer. 150 miles directly south of Muskegon, Michigan, a new
ministry with a new partner, already involved in church supply
operations, was born.
Driving every aspect of this traumatic change was a vision to take
Christian films to the world. If the churches in the USA would
support the production of Christian media, Ken Anderson Films would
expand film production wherever God might lead. More importantly to
my own initial vision, it would also directly open a door of
opportunity where some day I, too, might play a role. By January
1961, we moved into our new community and by summer time, the 1st
Ken Anderson Films movie, THE FAMILY THAT CHANGED THE WORLD, was
produced. No, this wasn’t a film about the Andersons - but Lord
willing - it could be.
