| "Ronnie Pandong
(white shirt with tie) and his team " |
The second largest island of the
Philippines is Mindanao. Malaybalay City is located in the
central region of the island. It is here Ronnie Pandong
serves as Bible school director for S.A.D.- G.L.A.D. Ministries
or School of Applied Discipleship - God’s Laborers for Active
Duty. Ronnie’s zeal for audiovisual ministry led him to inquire
of a friend in ministry, who connected us through his early 2000
letter. “Would you please tell us what films you might have for
ministry?”
A ministry-minded church in Texas was already helping Ronnie’s
program and agreed to cover the cost of shipping a group of 10
Films plus a selection of Videos and a variety of Projector
Bulbs, all which we sent by late June. “To God be the glory! The
Holy Spirit is using you to supply my Christian Film Ministry in
the Philippines. Allow me to express my deepest thanks and
gratitude to you.”
On faith an aggressive schedule was set to implement the film
ministry by December 2000. “I praise the Lord for the work of
InterComm, because you’ve helped equip our Gospel preachers and
Christian workers, who have been in need of tools for the Lord’s
work. It is my prayer that many souls will be reached with
knowledge and truth and be won to the Lord.”

"Some of the Children
Reached in Ronnie's Ministry"
Ronnie’s first Report of 6 showings to
nearly1,000 people saw 35 accept Christ. “I praise and thank
the Lord that for the very first time our children and teens
could finally experience Christian films. Already 12 have chosen
to seek baptism. I am receiving many requests to expand this
ministry through area film and video showings. I need your
prayers. Thanks to your films we have been able to counsel these
young people about alcohol, drugs, sex, and marriage. I thank
God for the success of this first program, which we attribute to
your generosity and thoughtfulness.”
An early rush of showings brought multitudes of blessings to
Ronnie and his staff. “At my church anniversary program we
showed PILGRIM’S PROGRESS. Not only was everyone excited to see
the drama of John Bunyan’s allegory, 5 adults accepted the
Lord. These films are really helping my work a lot.” Not
only was Ronnie showing films in churches, but also in
Evangelistic Crusades, Camps, Villages, Seminars, Public
Schools, Bible Clubs, Open Air Gospel Meetings, Children’s
Programs, Public Markets, and even at a Bus Terminal. No open
door is refused as crowds are always attracted to the Film
Showings. New churches have been started, as well as many new
home Bible studies for new converts. “May the Lord help us work
even in the midst of economic difficulties,” Ronnie wrote. You
see, all over the world God’s servants face restricted finances
just like InterComm!

"Baptism - an Important Step of Faith in the Philippines"
Ronnie also loans his film
prints and videos with others and usually the results were not
available for his Reports. But God knows the hearts which have
come to Christ through Ronnie’s sharing of his media. We have
received Reports, listing 149 showings to 17,728 persons with
603 decisions. But when you read Ronnie’s letters, it is
clear there must be hundreds more. Praise the Lord! Within a few
months, Ronnie will have access to our newly recorded videos in
2 of his area Languages. The Ilongo and Cebuano Languages are
just being completed in the Philippines. Lane and Jill Anderson
complete recording on Mindanao around April 9. Please join us in
praying for God’s blessing of souls from these new
appropriate-language tools, effectively implemented by this
proven AVangelist and his team.
2008
VIETNAM
"Miss Khiem (far left,
standing) at work in the Orphannage."
We have felt led of the Lord
to pursue a Language Recording Project for the Vietnamese
people. We began connecting with Vietnamese Christian leaders
about 5 years ago, and although a larger contingent currently
live in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon, our most active
correspondent, Miss Tran Khiem, lives in Dalat. As we
began discussing a possible Language Recording Project with Miss
Khiem, she enthusiastically pursued this possibility with other
Christian leaders in her city. Following the Recording Session
in Koronadal City, Mindanao, Philippines, Lane and Jill Anderson
will be traveling to Dalat, arriving Wednesday, April 12. Would
you please be in prayer for our organizational meetings, taking
place through April 17. Please pray for God’s leaders to emerge,
for understanding, for commitment, and that a potential
recording location can be identified, as no Christian facilities
currently exist.
GOD WINS AGAIN
Pastor Michael Adaramoye from Ado Ekiti, Nigeria writes:
“You will never know what the Lord can do in a difficult
situation until you take a step of faith. We went to the
Iyin-Ekiti area and invited people to come to our Torch Kit
showing. Many people began to come, and this greatly disturbed
the worshipers of a god named Ogun. They decided to pray that he
would send a heavy rain to disrupt our Filmstrip Program so that
everyone would leave. The cloud came, and it was very dark, but
the children of God prayed and prayed and prayed, and the clouds
scattered. This was the beginning of a miracle for these people,
many, including one of the Ogun priests, gave their lives to
Jesus Christ. Our Lord is so good.”
NEVER IN VAIN
Mr Solomon Benjamin
from Bangalore, India, who assisted our Recording Project in
that city, writes:
“I have had
many opportunities to share the Kannada Language films so far.
You must know the truth. There is a tremendous response to these
films in our Kannada Language, already in the city churches,
which are keen to view these films and are being blessed by
them. This is an assurance that our prayers never go in vain,
and when God puts a burden in the hearts of His children, He is
all the more able to carry it through mysteriously. I join you
in praising God for this leading concerning this Language work,
which was accomplished in our city.”
BHUTAN REPORT
We receive
Reports from ministries all over the world sometimes with
staggering figures for the number of showings, the size of the
audience, and people coming to Christ. Here is a Report from a
person that must remain nameless that we felt was staggering
because it took place under the confines of restricted ministry
in the country of Bhutan. 21 showings, 119 viewers, and 2
salvation decisions. How do you measure success? This AVangelist
worked an entire year with his Torch Kit and video media to
accomplish these results. Would you praise God with us for His
faithfulness.
VALUE OF 1 TORCH KIT
Evangelist Aimana Lyimo
from Moshi, Tanzania writes:
“Since I was
traveling in my work, I entrusted my Torch Kit to a certain
young pastor. This man began using the Torch Kit continuously,
and it was so useful to him that he managed to preach to over
3,000 children. God greatly blessed him, and he has reached many
villages with this Torch Kit, which has enabled him to build now
20 churches, using firstly children, and then their parents, who
were also drawn to the ministry of AVANGELISM.”
SAFE ARRIVAL
The following
is a common example of the kind of appreciation shown to
InterComm by those we equip. It was sent by Sunil and Neelu
Lall from Manipur, India. “We are very much thankful to God
for the safe arrival of the Torch Kit and the 3 Hindi videos and
14 other videos. These will be very much useful indeed, and we
are grateful to you for helping us to reach people in rural
areas with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through these vital tools.
We sincerely desire and pray that we will remain faithful to the
usage of these tools and send you regular Reports. We pray that
the Lord will continue to bless you and the precious ministry of
InterComm the Lord has entrusted to you.”
