Over the years, I have fallen prey to the error of being in awe of people who get their prayers answered.

It might be said - though it in no way serves adequately to fully illustrate - that one might as well envy those who have air to breath and water to drink!

Perhaps it is part of Satan’s infamy to surround prayer with mystique. On the contrary, even a casual reading of the Scriptures reveals how much God wants prayer to be as normal to our spiritual experience as are air and water to our physical well-being.
A real breakthrough for me has come in the study of prayers in the Bible.

I try to offer Biblical prayers daily, often many times in a given day.
In a world where even Christians fall error to materialism, selfishness, and worldliness, I find Psalm 51:10 helpful. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

And, in quest of overall spiritual good health, commitment to the daily task and right relationship with others, Psalm 139:23-24 - “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
